Family Nurse Practitioner
My name is Lynne Abbott, and I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I currently reside in Cedar Rapids Iowa where I was born raised. I am married with two grown boys. I am a graduate of the University of Iowa where I received my Master of Science in Occupational Health Nursing degree and a graduate of Allen College where I received my Family Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate. My nursing background consists of working at Unity Point Cedar Rapids in the operating room, intensive care unit and cardiology clinic. After leaving Unity Point, I continued my career at Linn County Public Health working in the lead poisoning prevention program as well as becoming a certified asthma educator.
I believe that there are multiple areas that contribute to overall health. Physical, mental, environmental, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being all come into play when talking about wellness. My focus is to offer an approach to care that takes all facets of a patient’s life into account, not just the physical body. I decided to pursue my degree as a family nurse practitioner because I like to build relationships with patients and work with them throughout the lifespan. There is not a one size fits all approach to achieving health goals. I strive to help patients set goals and develop plans that fit their lifestyle. I enjoy working toward these goals with them and celebrating successes together.

Receptionist & Billing Specialist
Billing & Administration
My name is Annie Looft; I am a certified billing and coding specialist. I come to Whole Care Family Practice with professional experience in the fields of manufacturing and food service. However, over the years I have come to the realization that I wanted to move into a field that would both challenge me intellectually as well as provide me the opportunity to grow in ways I had not previously been able. While working in the food industry, I began to grow an interest in the healing arts through a Massage Therapy diploma in 2005. During my internship, I had the opportunity to work in a chiropractic office and saw the benefits that the combination of massage therapy, chiropractic, and western medicine provided to the overall health of patients. While I was moving toward an area of passion, another career opportunity presented itself. However, in 2019 I made the decision to continue my path within the healthcare field as a medical billing and coding specialist. In April of 2021, I obtained my diploma in medical billing and coding from Penn Foster College. I am pleased to have the opportunity to combine my love for working with people with the billing and coding side of the clinic, as the Receptionist and Billing Specialist here.
